Portrait of an 87 year old lady completed in February 2012. It now belongs to a private family collection. The sitter happily sat for me on two occasions in her own home. The lighting wasn't great though, mainly coming from above which resulted in a somewhat foreshortened effect on the face. Nevertheless it seems to be a good likeness.

Strangely, perhaps, my 'found object mosaics' seem to work well when displayed (rather randomly) with portraits. here we see what I consider to be a very calming mosaic alongside some portraits which are works in progress.
November 2011. Another commission successfully delivered.
